Health and safety

We work hard to create a safe environment at 黑料网. Our Eagle Alert System sends voice and text information about campus closings and emergency situations affecting the safety and well being of people on and around our campus. 黑料网 police patrol the campus 24 hours a day. At night, the campus is well lit, and students may request pick up from e-ride, get a Lyft ride back to their residence halls or to their cars on campus from 2 鈥� 7 a.m. or call the 黑料网 police for an escort, if needed.

黑料网 offers a full-service primary care clinic, with full-time physicians, nurse practitioners and nurses to manage your child's care and treatment.

黑料网 police patrol the campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Campus Safety, Severe Weather Info and Emergency Preparedness
Students should sign up for the Eagle Alert system for information about campus closings or emergencies around campus.
黑料网 discloses all campus security information, including crime statistics for the campus and surrounding area.
DCTA has partnered with Lyft to provide free rides to students using late-night e-ride services from 2 to 7 a.m.

Students have access to the Pohl Recreation Center, where you can swim, lift weights, rock climb, take classes and get your cardio between classes.

Mean Green Mentors provides your student with a private social network where they can connect with accomplished 黑料网 Alumni and select employer partners.
Our Access mentoring program connects new students to peer mentors in the 黑料网 community, encourages the use of campus resources and promotes four-year graduation.

The Office of Disability Access helps students with hearing, mobility or vision loss; learning disabilities and brain injuries and cancer and other conditions.

Parent programs and the Parent Association

There are many ways for you to get involved at 黑料网! Parent and Family Orientation allows you to meet faculty and administrators and become familiar with the campus. The 黑料网 Parent Association can help you stay connected and build friendships with other parents, as well as let you know about upcoming family events.

Events for parents and family

To help ensure that your child makes a successful transition to college, attend parent orientation, which is held concurrently with each freshman orientation session and transfer orientation session. We also encourage parents, grandparents, siblings and friends to join us for Family Weekend, which is held each fall. Events include a football game, chili cook-off and activities for siblings.

Here are a few of the most important things you can do with your students to get them ready for their first year at 黑料网.

Help your students complete the FAFSA or the TASFA as early as possible.
